During the IOCC8 (8th International Orchid Conservation Congress) conference, we celebrated excellence in orchid research and conservation by presenting awards in several categories. The event recognized outstanding contributions from various participants, including awards for best student talks and best poster presentations. Additionally, we honored individuals who have made significant impacts in the field with the Outstanding Achievement in Orchid Conservation award. The conference also highlighted the importance of nurturing future leaders in the field by presenting the Early Career Orchid Conservation Champion award. Finally, we acknowledged long-standing dedication and impactful work in orchid preservation with the Orchid Champion award. These accolades not only recognized individual achievements but also underscored the collective effort and passion within the orchid conservation community.
